Delivered as 2 days of classroom based face to face tutorials including case studies and interactive group exercises from experienced tutors who have held management positions. This makes the training practical, participative, fun and linked to real work environments. This approach promotes shared experience and knowledge; it also gives a support network in addition to the tutorial support provided. As per the Syllabus, you will also be required to complete work based assessments based upon all the units covered in your own time after the tutorial days are complete.

About this course

There are no formal entry requirements but you will normally be either a practicing or aspiring first line manager with the opportunity to meet the assessment criteria and have a background that will enable you to benefit from the programme.

Course programme

There are 3 units to complete in order to achieve this qualification:

• Understanding Leadership.
• Understand how to Establish an Effective Team.
• Understanding Organising and Delegating in the Workplace.

In addition to the group tutorials, you are required to carry out guided work-based assessments for each unit completed in your own time. You will also be expected to develop action plans to implement in the workplace so you can transfer your learning back into your job role.
