As part of the application process all students will be given the opportunity to attend an informal interview. This will allow them to get a feel for the college and discuss their requirements with a member of the Supported Learning team.

Course Content:
This course will provide students with the opportunity to learn new skills, improve on their exsiting skills and provide an introduction to job training. Qualifications gained will be from a range of awarding bodies.Students will be able to enhance their skills with a number of options such as:. Communcations, Numeracy, social skills, practical or vocational skills such as Light Craft, I.T, Health and Hygiene, Independent Living skills and music. These skills will help students prepare for Work Experience in their final year.

For some students the course will provide a bridge to employment, further training or independent living. For others it will be to enhance communication skills and encourage them to take a fuller role in society. Students are encouraged to work on their own and as part of a group, to help develop social and communication skills.

Progression:
At the end of each course, students will have the opportunity to discuss their options with a member of the Supported Learning team. Students can progress onto other entry level and level 1 courses.
