Indian Facial Massage Workshop

Your Course
This is an opportunity to find out how to tone your facial muscles and improve circulation to boost your general complexion with specific exercises (if you are new to Indian Head massage techniques, or to extend your knowledge and skill (if you already practise a basic sequence on family and friends).
Learning Outcomes
You will have been shown some facial acupressure points and a variety of self-treatment exercises to tone facial muscles and aid relaxation. You will build up a set of moves to perform a sequence on others.
Outline of the day

Welcome and introduction
· What is Indian head massage
· The muscles of the face
· Facial acupressure points
· Demonstration of face moves for self-treatment
· Practice
· Working on specific areas
· Forehead
· Eyes
· Mouth
· Chin and jowls
· Working on others - do's and dont's
· Working with oils
· The facial sequence demonstration
· Practice in pairs throughout the afternoon
Your Tutor
Karen Briscombe is an Indian Head and Shoulder Massage Practitioner/Tutor and member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists. She has been teaching Indian Head Massage in Community Education and workshops since 2001, and was trained through the International Institute of Health and Holistic Therapies (IHHHT)
Day and time: Saturday 10am - 2pm
Start date: 27 February
Number of sessions: 1
Tuition fees: £25
Method of payment: Fees for short courses (10 weeks or less) to be paid in full at enrolment and for long courses (12 weeks or more) fees of 50% can be paid at enrolment plus 50% as a cheque. Course places cannot be reserved without receipt of both payments.
Half term:
Please note that there are no classes during half term Monday 15th - Friday 19th February 2010 unless otherwise stated.
