What will I study?
In the first year, you will study two units:
- Information, Systems and applications
- Structured, Practical ICT Tasks
- ICT Systems, Applications and Implications
- ICT Project
What will I achieve?
Many people see ICT as an essential qualification for employment. An AS or A-Level in ICT allows progression to a wide range of degree courses, including of course, those in Information and Communications Technology. Due to its relevant, practical components, it is a useful qualification for employment.
How is the course assessed?
In each year one of the modules is assessed by examination worth 60% whilst the second practical module worth 40% is assessed internally.
What else will I do?
The department offers a range of enrichment activities and ICT provides exemptions from Key Skills ICT Level 3.
