Applicants must have successfully completed secondary school. For applicants whose educational medium is not English, a level of IELTS 4.5 or equivalent OR Have a required minimum result in the NCC Education Standard Placement Test (SEPT)

This course is designed for students who speak English as a foreign language seeking entrance to universities overseas.

The course comprises of 7 modules.

  • Study & Communication Skills – the module designed to equip students with the essential study skills like conducting research, writing academic papers and give formal presentations needed to succeed in university.
  • English Language – Aimed to create an opportunity for non-native speakers of English to perform on an equal level to native speakers in both academic and professional environments.
  • Culture Studies – aimed at helping students to think about features of foreign cultures in comparison to their own country and to expand their knowledge generally. A particular focus will be on student life and studying abroad.
  • Mathematical Techniques– develops basic mathematical competence and confidence, to better understand quantitative materials at this and future level of study.
  • IT Skills – comprising of a broad but secure foundation in the fundamental concepts of computing to enable the candidates to make effective and knowledgeable judgments about the use of standard computer systems in their studies.
  • Introduction to Business – comprising various types of organisations, information, communication, research, interpreting and manipulating information, theories of organisation and management and the working environment.
  • Introduction to Computing – provides introduction to computing and IT, it covers components and organization of computer system, the relationship between hardware and software, databases, graphics and multimedia.
