The course has a wide range of equipment including the Creative Media Suite including a projection room, a PC suite, a Mac suite and seven editing rooms equipped with Mac computers running Adobe Creative Suite and modelling software. We have an extensive resource of camera, sound and lighting equipment. The Colchester campus also includes a well-equipped television studio with green-screen facility and a soundproof audio studio with technical support available.

Course programme
This one year study programme aims to introduce learners to a diverse and exciting range of disciplines within the creative and interactive media sector. The course is designed to cover a range of practical and theoretical skills in digital graphics and computer games to prepare learners for progression to further study and ultimately a career within the creative media industries. You also will improve your English and maths skills and will learn how to plan, implement and evaluate your project work based on industry style briefs.

Along with the media classes, you will study English and maths which will make you more employable and improve the quality of your media work. GCSE resit classes and Functional Skills sessions may be part of your timetable depending on your own specific needs. You will also attend group tutorials and 1-1 tutorials to support your study as well as enrichment activities such as playing a variety of games consoles, meeting guest lecturers from the industry and making visits to local companies.
