Course programme
A constructed approach to the basic techniques of oil painting will include the study of colour and composition. Though most work will be based on observation of the mode, still life and landscape, a contemplation of abstract values will, by extension, form part of this course.
Termly enrolment is possible for all courses and applicants must be over seventeen years of age. Fees are payable in advance for all courses and each course is devised for a limited number of students, so early enrolment is advisable. Students wishing to transfer from one course to another will be subject to a transfer fee. Fees are non-refundable. Please note: Heatherley School of Fine Art reserves the right to cancel, combine or reschedule courses, or adjust fees, or substitute lecturers as necessary.
Materials and School Shop
Easels, boards, printing inks and some sculpture materials are provided but students are expected to supply any additional materials needed. The School Shop stocks a range of art materials at reasonable prices.
