Course programme

These will include: the study, through reading, discussion and writing, of an author to be specified each term. Focus on grammatical structures such as: the subjunctive plus conditional moods; reported speech; the past historic and uses of other past tenses. Analysis of literary styles, sentence structures and idioms and style.

Functional approach: pair and group work. Discussion, text-analysis and grammar focus will form the basis of our work in class. There will be some homework.
