Your Course
This course is suitable for those who have already studied Italian for 2 terms. Whilst the main focus of the course is the effective use of Italian in practical situations, students will also develop a fuller understanding of Italian grammar. This will enable them to improve their proficiency in all 4 skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in the foreign language.
All students will be registered for the OCR Asset language award in listening to and understanding Italian at Beginners' level. The test will take place within the normal classroom environment.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course you will have been given the opportunity to:
· Talk about cities and regions in Italy
· Ask for directions
· Talk about holidays, the weather and the seasons
· Talk about Italian food
· Improve your knowledge of basic grammar including use of adjectives, the verb 'dovere' {mu/to have to], the past tense and prepositions
· Obtain through assessment, a nationally recognised qualification in listening at Breakthrough level
Your Tutor
Anna Di Giovannantonio is a native speaker from Italy. She has worked as an interpreter and translator, taught a wide range of Italian classes, and worked as a supervisor and tutor at Cambridge University. Nominated as an Honorary Consular Correspondent of Cambridge, Anna also promotes Italian Cultural Events. Anna is also a registered member of the Institute for Learning.

Tuition fees: £ 90
Method of payment: Fees for short courses (10 weeks or less) to be paid in full at enrolment and for long courses (12 weeks or more) fees of 50% can be paid at enrolment plus 50% as a cheque. Course places cannot be reserved without receipt of both payments.
