Your Course
This course is suitable for those who have studied Italian for more than a year. The course will cover all four language skills (speaking, listening, writing and reading) giving more emphasis to speaking and listening activities. These will include tutor-student interactions, group and pair work, role-play, games. Grammar will also be an important part of the course. There will be some revision at the end of each session and some homework aimed at giving extra practice in grammar and vocabulary.
During the course students will take short internal assessments in speaking at Preliminary level. These will help to prepare them for the OCR Asset language test that will be taken at the end of the Improvers' year. The course book is 'Espresso 2' chapters 1 to 5.

You will study the following points of grammar
· use of possessive adjectives; superlative; present perfect of reflective verbs
· Use of the imperfect tense
· Use of transitive and intransitive verbs; comparatives; present conditional.
· The gerundive; the direct pronouns; adverbs; relative pronouns.
· Imperfect and present perfect of verbs: "sapere" and "conoscere".

Your Tutor
Anna Di Giovannantonio is a native speaker from Italy. She has worked as an interpreter and translator, taught a wide range of Italian classes, and worked as a supervisor and tutor at Cambridge University. Nominated as an Honorary Consular Correspondent of Cambridge, Anna also promotes Italian Cultural Events. Anna is also a registered member of the Institute for Learning.

Tuition fees: £ 95
Method of payment: Fees for short courses (10 weeks or less) to be paid in full at enrolment and for long courses (12 weeks or more) fees of 50% can be paid at enrolment plus 50% as a cheque. Course places cannot be reserved without receipt of both payments.
