Lectures and practical massage sessions.
Duration :1 year, Wednesdays 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. commencing September 2008
Who the Course is For:
Those who wish to work as a professional massage therapist, for example, privately or for a clinic, sports leisure centre etc.
Assessment:
Internal and external asssessment. Theory and practical exam. Case studies.
Course Leads To:
This is a professionally recognised qualification and successful students can join the CTHA (Complementary Therapists Association)

The theory and practice of massage treatments. Anatomy and physiology of the body and a business awareness unit.
The anatomy and physiology unit covers all the body systems, including diseases and disorders associated with each one. The massage modujle will cover the theory of massage and the practice of techniques associated with traditional swedish massage.
The business awareness unit covers all the basic business concepts as well as professionalism and ethics.
This can progress onto further holistic therapies such as Indian Head, Reflexology and Sports Massage.
