The Junior Chefs' Certificate is designed for young people aged between 14 and 16 years of age who have a lively interest in cooking and wish to develop professional cookery skills and techniques relevant to the Hospitality and Catering Industry.
About this course
For anybody who really enjoys cooking and would like to learn a more professional approach.
Your parent/guardian will be required to complete a medical questionnaire which must be received before the start of the course.

Course programme
The programme commences with an induction on the correct use of equipment and other health and safety issues. Over seven weeks you will be taught cookery skills commencing with vegetable cuts and soups to develop your knife skills. On the eighth week you will be able to invite your guests to your Graduation ceremony where you will be presented with a medal and certificate. You will prepare and serve a buffet for your invited guests.
