L3 Diploma in Health, Safety, Security and Employment

This is a pre-requisite qualification that is needed prior to part time beauty and holistic therapy programmes.
It studies the required health and safety needed by a therapist before going into business

The programme is mainly theoretical and case study work
Entry RequirementsA good understanding of written and spoken English is required.
Course Content
Successfully completing this qualification enables the candidate to support health, safety and security in the workplace in regard to ensuring the safety of customers, oneself and collegues in the workplace, the identification of potential hazards through risk assessment.
Enables the therapist to ensure support is given to employment standards involving professionalism, equality of treatment for customers, community involvement, hygiene practices, cost effectiveness, supporting protection from physical and mental abuse and how the image of the workplace can be enhanced.

In class assessment that is ongoing with short tasks
Externally set, internal examinations and portfolio completion
