Starting with an introduction to materials and techniques the first session will take place in the studio at the City Lit. We will then meet at different locations to explore ways of interpreting a range of London landscapes, using both monochrome and colour materials. You will be provided with a list of meeting-places in the first session.

Practical work on site, after the first session in the Keeley Street studio, short demonstrations, one-to–one tutoring and some group discussion. Small sketchbooks and basic drawing materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring larger sketchbooks if required, and advice will be given on materials to buy. If you would like to buy art materials for your personal use outside of the course, City Lit students receive 10% discount off everything* from Cass Art, the UK's leading art supplies retailer.
