Land Based Engineering - Modern Apprenticeship SVQ Level 5

A range of topics will be covered during the course including manage planted areas for their amenity value, manage your own resources, promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security, estimate resource requirements and programme work, specify and monitor maintenance, construct hard landscape components, propagation from seed and vegetative means, design landscape areas and specify materials and components.

Most of the time is spent in the working environment, with College attendance on day release basis 30 days per year.

Students may progress to Higher National Diploma courses. Completion of this qualification may often lead to more supervisory positions within Local Councils, horticultural and landscaping companies.
