Would you like some help preparing for your Electrical Installations exam? This 4 day course covers the principles, practices and legislation for the initial verification of electrical installations at 230V/400V and includes three City and Guilds examinations.
Many topics will be covered throughout the course. Some of these include the safe isolation of electrical circuits and installations and the requirements for initial verification of electrical installations.
Participants in the seminar will also review the requirements for completing the inspection of electrical installations prior to their being placed into service. Other topics covered include the safe testing and commissioning of electrical installations, testing before circuits are energised, testing energised installations, and the requirements for the completion of electrical installation certificates and the associated documentation.
This helpful preparatory course is suitable for many different potential students, from domestic installers to commercial and site electricians wishing to carry out initial verifications and associated certification. In general, it is for anyone who wants to learn how to carry out inspections and testing of electrical installations prior to their being placed into service.

Course programme
This qualification aims at the specialist knowledge and skills you need, including appropriate legislation, inspection and testing techniques, completing and issuing certificates or reports and understanding of results and measurements. Assessment will be through a multiple-choice on-line test and a practical task.
The course includes three examination components:
2391-050 - Online multiple-choice exam
2391-500 - Practical Assignment – Assessed in-house by Trainer
Short Form Written Question Paper - Marked by in-house Trainer
In order to gain the qualification, candidates must pass each of the above components.
