Jeff has a very relaxed style and made everyone feel very welcome and at ease. The course was very interactive and had a good balance between practical and 'class' based input. For me personally the highlight was the photo shoot, the opportunity to photograph the bride and groom (models) in slow time. Taking time to learn and practice lighting and posing techniques without the pressure of a real event.

I recommend this course, for someone who has been out of photography for 20 years I found the experience and information invaluable as part of a fast-track back into the business. There's no substitute for actually being in a situation photographing a bride and groom in a typical location and having to deal with constantly changing light, and a different range of interiors. This course left me feeling a lot more confident about my future.
I also recommend the center. Jeff is very communicative and answered all my questions. He's very enthusiastic about his craft and it definitely rubs off. There's was so much information it was difficult at times to take it all in, but when asked he was willing to go back over certain things and even demonstrate. Also, a lovely buffet lunch was provided along with coffee and biscuits morning and afternoon which was welcome after all the hard work we had been doing.← | → -
This is stuff you can't get from a book! The first day we spent photographing bride & groom models in a lovely location. We learned how to pose the models, handle different types of lighting and I got some great shots to use for my portfolio. The second day was a group critique which I found very useful, especially seeing how the other students processed their pictures as it gave me ideas to take away and try for myself. Processing with Photoshop was covered and although I was pretty confident with this editor it made me go away and try other things - as a result my processing skills have improved. Some of the business side of things was also covered, which is equally if not more important than the actual photographing. All in all it was a very worthwhile course.

Many thanks to my Assessor who was brilliant and really motivated me. Would recommend SDL & him to anyone who wants to have fun while learning and producing the evidence that enabled me to get my NVQ. My manager is also very pleased and is very grateful for SDL's work. I am progressing to Marketing level 2 to increase my skills or level 3 in Business Administration and am looking forward to it. Have a go as its worth it!

Put five staff members through on this course and found it excellent grounding and also consolidated the basic training we had provided as a company & SDL developed them further. Working with SDL we have been able to develop a new staff structure and also training at the levels required - very grateful as this has developed the business as well as the initial training we requested - excellent value for money. Even persuaded me to undertake a Level 4 at the same time to understand the process as well as develop myself Will definitely work again with this company and they will be our first port of call for more than just qualifications.

I feel that this NVQ has gone extremely well and I would recommend doing this NVQ to anyone looking to develop themselves. I am now looking to carry on my learning through a Customer Services NVQ2.

The course structure I experienced took a very natural pattern and seemed to suit me down to the ground. I literally had no idea what to expect but the instructor was not only informative but enjoyable to be around too. There was always an aim to each lesson and the goal was always to make improvement whenever possible. This helped me greatly as I was quite nervous to begin with on day one, but when it came to the end of day one I could not get enough of the training. When it came to day two I ended up arriving very early before the session. I would definately recommend this course to anyone.
FCD are great! I could ask as many questions as I liked and would always be made to feel comfortable and welcome by the office staff. My instructor assured me that I could contact them literally at any time of the day. This is definitely the case with FCD as I phoned the office after 9pm on one occasion about something and yes they were available and as always was made to feel welcome. I believe that FCD would bend over backwards to help you, regardless of the time of day. The service was always impeccable.← | → -
FCD is brilliant in every way. I phoned FCD thinking I was just going to be treated as a number and not an individual. How wrong I was. The second I started asking questions I was greeted in a friendly and informative way. I was literally led by the hand through the whole process from beginning right through to when I passed my C class 2 pratical driving test, first time! The instruction and continual help I received was second to none. At first I found the size of the lorry daunting together with the gears (more than I thought), however I was made to feel relaxed straight away by the instructor and can quite honestly say that I looked forward to every training session. Would recommend FCD to anyone. Thankyou. Paul

The main reason I would recommend this course is for someone requiring a high quality form of Driver Training in the HGV category. Any HGV Training school can teach you to drive, but FCD create a positive, enthusiastic approach to driver Training that increase your knowledge and level of skill. If you want to learnt to drive HGV vehicles well then I suggest you learn with FCD, The information on the course was very informative.
I would definitely recommend FCD for a professional well organised Driver Training School. They help you at every stage and step of the way. I was reluctant to do my training when I realised how much was involved, but some how they made the whole process very easy and staright forward. You will feel completely at ease after speaking to them they helped me a lot. Any questions any time they were always willing to give me help and information.← | →

Open and flexible to all learners. SDL are highly experienced at delivery of Management training & also incredibly supportive to each individuals need(s). Units are selected in consultation & agreement and individually planned with all concerned. Career development is planned and what progression is available/suitable. SDL staff are responsive & provide an exemplarly service and are a pleasure to work with at all times!
Knowledge, Trust and Support offered - each learner is treated as an individual and feedback has been excellent. Assessor and Verifier are personable & interested and this is continually shown - their approachability is a real find!!! They search out funding opportunities if available and for those that cannot access their rates are fair & certainly value for money as they work hard and efficiently and always in constant communication.← | →

Realistic in attitude and planning - realise that individuals have work and life to contend with. Very responsive and understanding yet get results and consistently receive excellent feedback about them. Support offered to staff was bespoke and well received and unlike what we had previously experienced in the past from other companies. All fears were unfounded and realised quickly.
Staff have incredible knowledge and are personable and friendly and also install confidence and are pleasing in that they can offer literacy and numeracy included as well as confidence building also and this has been very useful! Secure and confident in their abililty at all times.
Actually do what they say they can do! They provide professional and qualified staff that have real work and life experience and are approachable and amenable an can deal with all ages and abilities. Staff known by name and were constant - communication was faultless at all times, Creative and fresh always. Frank and in-depth and create excellent solutions to training needs. Tailor each visit as required and work outside of traditional business hours to deliver their services and will do evenings and weekends if needed. Also will meet in or out of company - excellent flexibility.← | → -
Professional and deliver - friendly staff and always helpful and communicate /meet appointments consistently. Named Assessor who stayed the course & supported without fail and all other SDL staff were constant too! Fantastic feedback from staff who were learners.
Very pleased with service and outcomes - their knowledege base is practical & informative at all times and will use always from now on. Responsive and offer a more personalised service that is not about numbers or sales! Genuinely work with you to achieve and develop your staff. Customer service is excellent.

Staff have been developed at the same time and have all recognised the need for C.Service and a consistent approach in dealing with clients and SDL used our business aims to take this forward & managed to translate them to a training course that also rewards with a national qualification - and this has really increased business & also has saved on recruitment & also helped retention.
We employ all ages & experiences and no one was left out! All staff reported being pleased with the services and gave positive evaluations that cited SDL as being very supportive, friendly and approachable at all times. Positive & encouraging feedback. We will continue to work with them.
