Course programme

Learners need to complete four mandatory and two optional units. Mandatory units are as follows:

  • Communicate with and complete records for individuals
  • Support the health and safety of yourself and individuals
  • Develop your own knowledge and practice
  • Ensure your own actions support the care, protection and well-being of individuals

The optional units are selected from a choice of 28. These cover a wide range of areas including domiciliary care, health care, recreational care and developmental and therapeutic activities.
