2. Course description You will be working towards the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy, which will mean completing units such as 'ensure responsibility for actions to reduce risk to health & safety', 'promote additional services or products to clients', 'develop and maintain your effectiveness at work', 'provide facial skin care', 'enhance the appearance of eyebrows and lashes', 'carry out waxing', 'provide manicure & pedicure', 'fulfil reception duties' & 'provide make-up services' as well as additional credits to make up your full diploma. Depending on your GCSE grades you will study towards a functional skills Level 1 in Maths and English, as well as receiving Employment Rights and Responsibilities training.

It is important you take ownership for your own learning by seeking out opportunities to gain new skills on the job with your employer. Tutors are on hand to guide and support you with your training and attendance at College sessions is essential. There are external exams to sit as well as building a portfolio of evidence.
