The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is the most comprehensive assessor qualification. (TAQA)

It qualifies you to assess learners in their place of work and in learning environments as well. Essentially, this means that upon completion of the CAVA, you would be a fully qualified assessor in your area of expertise. So, whether you need to be able to observe learners in the workplace or assess their vocational knowledge through assignment-based tasks and question and answer sessions in classrooms; the CAVA assessor course will have you covered for your industry.

Course programme

The course has three units
  1. Understanding Principles and Practices of Assessment
  2. Assess Occupational Competence in the Work Environment
  3. Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding
Units 1 and 3 are completed online. Unit 2 is completed either in your workplace or at one of our centres.

The duration of your course is entirely down to you. However, based on 4 – 5 hours of study per week, your course duration would be approximately 5 months.
