  • My Assessor, was great and gave me support throughout all the qualification. Very helpful and honoured all appointments and gave me feedback on all work I submitted, a very different experience to other colleagues with other providers! We will use again certainly as professional & knowledgeable! All units were structured and planned and I felt in control at all times and confident of success.

  • Easy to contact, discuss and enrol. Assessor comes to you and is in regular contact. Planning assessments is done together and once submitted feedback given. Staff at SDL are very pleasant and also flexible in working around you and timings. The assessor travelled to me when promoting services & giving advice at a county careers day . Credible and quality provision.

  • Recommended by a networking colleague. Qualification was carried out in work and also in my own time by producing evidence - found this a highly suitable way to show my performance in duties and achieve accreditation. My assessor was great and also a good motivator as well as being consistent in meeting me and planning/giving feedback. Excellent support was given and this made me feel instantly more confident in my own and their capabilities. The best route if you cannot find, let alone commit, to College or other attendance in the area and their independence is also reassuring as you do not feel like a 'target'. Fully supported by my work too - found that I could fit this qualification in as well as function at work and home. Many thanks.

What I would highlight: We have had a total of 9 staff through varying levels ( L2-4). Five have successfully completed Level 3 Advice & Guidance and all are of the same opinion that the course was good & all found it beneficial, SDL personnel excellent & supportive and all found it very enjoyable. Two are to progress onto Level 4 shortly. All staff were ineligible for funding as they are previously qualified and the total prices charged were by no means hgh compared to thers we had seen! We were alerted to SDL via networking partners recommendation and they really work discretely with you as a company and as an individual. We will be certainly using them as our first point contact for training and also recommeding wherever possible. We are in discussions to develop volunteers via the use of Level 2 & this is part of aplanned strategy with SDL who have been so helpful & dedicated in assisting our business aims & plan.

Course programme

Course review:

Primarily aimed at those who work directly with clients in a variety of settings disseminating information. offering advice and some level of guidance. Candidates will be working with information often interpreted by others, usually working with some clear guidelines. Very suitable for those who work in schools and offer careers advice and also those who are responsible for integrating this into the curriculum. Successful completion provides a practitioner level status.
