· Health & Safety within an Electrotechnical Workplace
· Understanding Technical Information used in the Industry
· Understanding of Electrical Principles
· Installation of Electrical Systems
· Health & Safety Practices and Environmental Management
· Working Effectively in Organisations
· Applications of Electrical and Electronic Principles
· Designing and Installing Electrical Circuits and Systems
· Understanding of Inspection, Testing and Commissioning Techniques
· Understanding of Fault Diagnosis and Rectification Techniques

Assessment
Some components of this qualification will be assessed internally and the others externally. Candidates must pass all the internal and external assessments to achieve the qualification.
Who is the course for?
This course is intended for those who:

· wish to become an Electrician
· are thinking about a career in the Electrotechnical Industry but would like some experience of the job role first (ie as an installation or maintenance electrician)
· are new to the industry
· are looking for a career change
· wish to learn new skills
