2. Course description You will learn about travel and tourism destinations, different cultures, customer service and working in a team. You will also explore environmental, cultural, political and social influences within the industry through projects, classroom discussion and activities. Depending on your chosen pathways, you will study qualifications that will prepare you for a career as air cabin crew, resort representative or in airport services, retail travel and event planning. A work placement will enable you to gain practical skills, and you will also complete an extended project to demonstrate your skills.

Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method You will learn through a mixture of taught lessons, group work and practical activities and this will be applied to actual events and activities within travel and tourism. Assessment is via coursework which may take the form of written assessment, short presentations on given topics, role-play or group work for each unit.
