Who is the programme for? The programme is suitable for students of any age with knowledge of the language they are interested in. The tasks are relevant to the needs of adult education and business in the 21st Century.

What will I study? The general aim of the programme is to provide the linguistic skills and cultural awareness necessary when travelling in a country where your chosen language is spoken. On successful completion of the programme, you should be able to ask for and offer information on some of the following topics: * Personal Information * Customs and Traditions * Cultural Studies * Geographical Studies * Political Studies * Economic Environment * Environmental Studies * Films and Plays * Sport and Leisure * Translation into English * Translation into target language * Language for Business * Occupation and Organisation * Writing for Business.

Entry to the Programme?

How is it assessed? These language programmes seek to improve and assess the students' skill in listening, speaking, reading and writing in the topics listed, using a variety of methods of assessment.

Future prospects? On successful completion of the programme, candidates will be able to progress onto other Advanced Courses.

When will the programme start? The programme will start in September

How long will it take? The programme wil run for 2 hours per week over a 30 week period (3 x 10 week terms).

What about the Money? Please note that fee remission does not apply, this is a full cost course, the fee is 265.
