Performing Arts (Physical Theatre)
BTEC National Award - Two-year course
This is a two-year programme that can be taken in place of one A Level. Students must commit to this course for two years in order to achieve a qualification.

Only one Award per A Level programme can be taken.

This course is aimed specifically at those with a practical interest in contemporary performance. If you have already had performing experience or have enjoyed the practical aspects of GCSE Drama or Dance, then this course would be ideal.

The BTEC National Award is the equivalent of one A Level. It consists of six modular units studied over the two years and would be taken alongside one of A Level Drama, Dance or Performance Studies as part of an A Level programme.

The focus of this course will be practical, however, excellent organisational skills will be required in order to complete the necessary written assignments. There will be regular opportunities to see live performances and events at a number of exciting London venues.

Careers and Further Studies
This course can lead to further study of Live and Performing Arts at Drama school or university. Career choices include working as a dancer, circus performer, entertainer, actor/actress or teacher.

General Entry Requirements
These qualifications will normally be taken as part of an A Level programme. Students may only take one BTEC National Award in place of one A Level.
