Each element of the programme looks at different aspects of the IQA role: Carry out and evaluate internal assessment and quality assurance systems, Support assessors, Monitor the quality of assessors performance and Meet external quality assurance requirements. The IQA is assessed as an NVQ/QCF qualification. Candidates will produce an e- portfolio of evidence. Observation of the candidates carrying out IQA is mandatory. Assessment methods include professional discussion, written records, questioning and witness testimony. Other methods may also be used to gather required evidence.

This qualification is suitable for you if you wish to obtain the Internal Verifier / Moderator role and quality assure assessors and assessment. This Level 4 qualification is aimed at NVQ/QCF assessors who would like to become internal quality assurers. An internal quality assurer is the person who supports and works with a team of assessors to develop assessment procedures and facilitate good practice.

Candidates must have experience in NVQ/QCF Assessment and have access to two assessors with at least two candidates.
