Course Description:

This course is for those students who have a language knowledge equivalent to approximately 2 years.
The course aims to consolidate your existing language knowledge and develop it further by expanding your vocabulary, grammar, structures and fluency.
At the end of the course, you should be able to read, write, understand and speak the language in a variety of everyday communicative situations of familiar and unfamiliar nature.
Topic areas will be varied and these are negotiated between you and your teacher, depending on the general level of the group.
You will also gain an insight into the culture and customs of the country of the language.
PROGRESSION

On completion of this course, you should be able to progress to:

• AS Level
• Intermediate Conversation

Pre Entry Requirements :

A language knowledge equivalent to 2 years of learning;
e.g. if you can understand familiar sentences in situations such as booking a hotel or express likes and dislikes; if you can write simple letters using the basic present and past tenses; if you can hold a simple conversation.
Some knowledge of parts of speech, sentence construction and reasonable accent will be helpful but can all be improved.
