Environmental Management MSc course in Scarborough

  • My experience at Coventry University has surpassed my expectations. Superbly relevant , intellectually rigorous course content; very good facilities on uni; friendly staff, students and city mates; safe neighbourhood; and convenient location of stores. What more could one ask for? All modules are tailor-made to real-work situations. Lecturers are highly experienced, helpful, and challenge us to thing way outside the box. They are so helpful and approachable. Our class engaged them on an issue we needed resolved regarding one of our modules. With their guidance, we made a case that was decided favourably for our class. The academic staff is pretty flexible and they gladly meet you on request. There are counselling and support services for depressed students, mental breakdown, academic writing, among others. The whole community participates in cancer charity work, and periodically gets involved in activities to clean the city.

  • I am enjoying it so far and I would class my experience as good. The course I'm doing is a very good course I think. I am completely satisfied at the moment. Lecturers are experienced in the industry and teach it well. The university has links to a number of companies in the industry so good links for placement opportunities.

  • What I enjoy is working with students from different nationalities, which it is a wonderful cultural learning experience. More over, I like the seminars on the course and have found that it is really helpful to explore my own abilities.

  • Lecturers at Coventry are all very supportive, and my degree content I find it relevant and engaging. There are great opportunities for social activities and international travel that I have participated in. A especial emphasis is placed on employability skills, through mandatory modules throughout the duration of the degree, the opportunity to undertake summer and a year long placement between year 2 and year 3 is also actively encouraged. Very good, academic staff and available and supportive when needed and wider university pastoral care services are accessible should you need to use them.

PhD and Research Degrees course in Leeds

  • My research aims to identify factors that affect the employment choices of migrants. I'm looking at the British-Pakistani men in particular because almost 25% of British-Pakistani men in UK choose to drive taxis. There is also the debate about how free are people to choose their life options given the kind of ethnic backgrounds they are from, the gender, the class they belong to. So, it is a overarching question of structure and agency that I'm trying to answer through the case study of Pakistani men. In the first year you have to go through 3 modules. One is the philosophy behind the social science research. The second module that we do is one on research methods which is qualitative and quantitative. The third thing is we do a module called Understanding your Discipline and it's about understanding the different key readings in our discipline and critiquing them

Supply Chain Management MSc course in Scarborough

  • I really enjoyed this course, i have no knowledge of supply chain management before.the lecturer was fun informative, and made the subject interesting yo can tell she had a real passion for supply chain management.the lectures were filed with videos and funny photos to keep the students alert and interested, it definitely worked with me as i am now thinking of pursuing a career in supply chain.we had weekly tests and two coursework. The tests pushed us to revise and go over everything we had learned in the lecture so we do not leave it to last minute. i think that was a brilliant idea, in the end i got a 1st in this course so i am quite happy. One of the coursework we had to do, was made a supply chain that we are familiar with lean, i chose waitressing in a restaurant, this helped me to see supply chain in my daily life and make it more useful.we received a free supply chain management book with this course.i would definitely recommend this module if you decide to pursue Business Management.
