Introduction:
The training and development of managers is often the key to business success. These qualifications are designed to meet the needs of today's managers across all sectors of Health, Industry and Commerce providing flexibility and a choice of options to meet your business needs. This programme is based on one day attendance at Preston College.

The ILM Level 3 NVQ in Management is for first line managers in posts such as Dental Practice Managers, who have decision-making responsibilities within defined limits and a wider responsibility for people and their performance. This programme will assess a manager's knowledge/understanding of key management activities and through modular workshops, gives managers the opportunity to develop their performance and become more effective.

Study Mode & Location:
This course will be held at Preston College, St. Vincent`s Road, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 8UR. The course runs one day every third week.

Course Content:
Candidates must demonstrate competence in the mandatory units and optional units defined by the qualification structure:

  • Ensure health & safety requirements are met in your area of responsibility
  • Encourage innovation in your area of responsibility
  • Allocate & monitor the progress and quality of work in your area of responsibility
  • Manage business processes
  • Monitor & solve customer service problems


Assessment:

Careers & Progression Opportunities:
On completion of this programme and assessment candidates will be awarded an NVQ Level 3. Candidates successfully achieving ILM NVQ Level 3 in Management will be eligible to apply for ILM Associate Membership (AMInstLM).

Costs:
The cost of this course is £625.

You will need to have an informal interview with an Adult Admissions Adviser.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
