Is this course right for me?

This four day programme, certified by the Institute of Occupational Safety And Health, is for those Supervisors, Team Leaders and Managers who need to ensure compliance with both their organisation's policy and best practice in Health and Safety.

What will I be learning?

The course has eight core modules designed to meet the individual organisation requirements. And includes: Introducing Managing Safely; Assessing risks ;Controlling risks; Understanding your esponsibilities; Identifying hazards;Investigating accidents and incidents;Measuring performance; Protecting our environment

How will I learn?

This is a taught course.

What else might I want to know?

As part of the Managing Safely certification procedure, you have to complete a project and have it assessed. The project takes the form of an inspection of your workplace and a risk assessment, the results of which you record will need to be returned to the college and submitted for marking.

You will also be required to take a multiple choice examination paper on the last day of the course.

Lunch and refreshments are provided.

What can I do afterwards?

You may like to progress to the NEBOSH Occupational Health & Safety qualification. We also offer a variety of one day Business Skills and IT courses.
