With widely applicable skills and topic areas, a Minor in Psychology can be combined with many disciplines including anthropology, philosophy, speech and hearing, political science, computer science and more.
Students in the minor complete 18 credit hours of coursework in psychology, in addition to meeting the requirements for their major. Elective classes include Adult Development and Aging, Psychology of Crime and Violence, Cross-Cultural Psychology and Attitudes Toward Death and Dying.

Course programme
The following requirements must be fulfilled: 9 credits in required courses and 9 credits in elective courses.

- Two survey courses (6 credits) from the following, including at least one of PSYC 2014 or PSYC 2015:
- Abnormal Psychology
- Abnormal Psychology
- Social Psychology
- Developmental Psychology
- Cognitive Psychology
- Biological Psychology
At least three additional psychology (PSYC) courses (9 credits) numbered 2000 or above, not including PSYC 3591 or PSYC 4591
Students considering graduate study in psychology are advised to take PSYC 2101, which is a prerequisite for 3000 and 4000 level courses.
