About this course
You do not need any formal qualifications. However you need a keen interest in entering the motor vehicle industry together with commitment and determination. You will also attend an interview and take an Initial Assessment.

Description

What will I study?
A variety of different motor vehicle topics are covered, these include engine systems, transmission and engineering skills development to meet the needs of the modern workshop. You will also learn functional skills which are English, Maths and ICT as required.
How will I learn?
You will learn in state-of-the-art workshops fully fitted to the highest industrial standards and hi-tech classrooms with Smartboards and interactive diagnostic equipment. You will take part in practical and theoretical sessions to give you a thorough understanding of the systems involved.
How will I be assessed?
The course is subject to continual assessment by assignments, unit assessments and practical tasks.
Where could it lead?
Progress to a National Diploma or Certificate in Vehicle
Repair and Technology and then to a Higher National Certificate/Diploma in Motor Vehicle Management or Motor Vehicle Engineering. The course will also help you to progress
to employment or other work-based training in motor vehicle dealerships at Service Technician level.
