3. Entry requirements You will need a keen interest in music and vocal, instrument or technical experience and/or a Level 3 qualification in a related subject area. You will need to have achieved a minimum of 48 points on the new UCAS tariff (120 on the old tariff) from: • At least two A Levels at 'A2' • BTEC Diploma or Extended Diploma in a music-related subject • International Baccalaureate Mature students without formal qualifications, but with music industry/production experience are also welcome and encouraged to apply.

5. Assessment method Pearson BTEC Higher National units are assessed internally. Students are graded for each individual unit with a Pass, Merit or Distinction. They may be assessed in a number of different ways, such as: • Observations of practical tasks and vocational skills • Creation of portfolio material – demonstrating composition, production and recording skills • Live music performance • Written reports and essays • Individual and group presentations • Production of audio visual materials and products • Journals and production diaries • Peer and self-assessment All internal assessment is quality assured through internal veri?cation and sampled through external veri?cation by Pearson.
