About this course
To enter this programme you should ideally be employed in a technical role and have one of the following a BTEC First Diploma, Intermediate GNVQ or equivalent qualification in a related subject or at least 3 GCSE at grades A* - C, including maths and science. In addition you will be expected to demonstrate the enthusiasm and motivation to meet the academic requirements of the programme.

Who is the programme for? This is a theoretical route into mechanical engineering and is suitable for those who wish to pregress onto university.
What will I study? A total of twelve modules are required. Entry to the Programme?
How is it assessed? The programme is assessed by a combination of externally set examinations, internally set tests and assignments. Together with an intergrated vocational assignment which is externally assessed.
Future prospects? There are a wide variety of job prospects for engineering and manufacturing students, including work as technicians, maintenance engineers, design engineers and quality engineers. Progression onto a HNC is also possible.
