DESCRIPTION:
A National Certificate course for those intending to work with young children.

CONTENT:
Child Development - Birth to 12 years | Play in Early Education in Childcare | Holistic Approaches to Child Health | Supporting Children's Rights and Entitlements | Communication | Information Technology | Working with Others. This course includes a practical work placement.

QUALIFICATIONS & PROGRESSION:
To HNC Early Education and Childcare or into employment as a Support Worker in the Childcare Sector.

Requirement
Applications for the course are welcomed from both males and females. The minimum entry requirements, are 3 Standard Grade passes at credit level including English. Preference will be given to those applicants with more than the minimum entry requirement. Mature candidates with no formal qualifications are also invited to apply; entry will be based on experience, a written assignment and a successful interview.
