Course programme

The NC in Mechanical Engineering provides learners with an excellent foundation for getting to grips with the basic principles of Mechanical Engineering. From the study of moving bodies, including fluids, to the effects of pressure, temperature and force and how different materials impact on how systems perform, the course offers masses of variety and interest for all.


The Mechanical Engineering subjects studied include: dynamics, statics, thermofluids and material science. Mathematics, IT and communications are also covered to give a well-balanced course that not only provides learners with great new skills but also gives them the necessary knowledge and understanding needed to undertake further study at HNC, HND and degree level.
