Are you looking to improve your own eating habits, but don’t know where to start? Or does the idea of providing nutritional advice to athletes sound appealing? No matter your intentions, our Nutrition and Health RQF Award can supply you with a fountain of knowledge that can help you to take positive steps towards understanding nutrition and developing healthier eating habits. Over the course of this learning programme, you will acquire a deeper understanding of the growing obesity problem, and will discover how to effectively assist others and create dietary plans appropriate to the individual.
Choosing to study our Nutrition and Health Award can act your first stepping stone to changing the way you view and interact with food.

With 60% of men, 50% of women and 25% of children predicted to be obese by 2050 (by the Foresight Study); the information supplied on this course will enable you to combat this growing epidemic and reduce the number of individuals who are missing work; becoming ill or who are going into care due to obesity.

From uncovering the link between unhealthy diets and lifestyle diseases, to being able to calculate the correct nutritional intake/energy requirements for each age group (child to adults); this award will help to expand your existing knowledge and understanding on this subject, so you can effectively identify which foods are great energy sources; plan balanced meals for the family, and recognise the roles of nutrients and how they can encourage a healthier lifestyle.
