Becoming a children's nurse requires a unique blend of sensitivity and skill. This MSc course offers clinical placements and a varied and engaging glimpse into the many possibilities for future careers.

Lessons on-campus take place in simulated wards in addition to lecture theatres and are taught by a first-class team of highly skilled, expert lecturers. Your clinical placements provide an opportunity to put your theoretical learning into practice, working alongside highly skilled and experienced children's nurses at the cutting edge of patient care.

You will experience the work of specialist services - from community nursing teams and children's emergency departments to on-going care services for children with long term and complex needs, including end-of-life care.

About this course

We provide exceptional opportunities with clinical placements across the Children's Nursing spectrum. You will have the chance to be placed within renowned local NHS Trusts throughout London and the South East.

Applicants should have:

An honours degree; normally a 2.1 in any subject
A minimum of three GCSEs, including English language and mathematics at grade C or above, or equivalent
Plus experience of working/volunteering in a health/social care setting for at least 450 hours within the past five years. Applicants will be required to provide evidence to verify their practice hours.
