About this course
You should have achieved NVQ Amenity Horticulture at Level 2 or equivalent and have relevant practical experience within the horticultural industry. It is also recommended that you hold a supervisory role within your employment in the relevant industry.

Who is the programme for? This programme is for people already in the industry who wish to further their career prospects and gain a higher qualfication.

Entry to the Programme?
How is it assessed? Assessments are continuous and are undertaken in such a way that students are allowed to work at their own pace. There are no written examinations at the end of the programme as it is practically based.
Future prospects? Upon successful completion of the programme you could progress to study Amenity Horticulture at Level 4 and the City and Guilds 730 Teaching Certificate, with a veiw to teaching Horticulture part-time. Employment opportunities include working at sports grounds, parks and gardens or working as a landscape gardener etc.
When will the programme start? You can enrol on this programme at any time of the year.
How long will it take? You can choose to attend from one of the following: 1 day per week over 72 weeks or 2 evenings per week over 72 weeks
What about the Money? If you are under 19 on 31st August 2009 you will not have to pay tuition or registration fees. If you are over 19 years of age
