Entry qualifications

Students must be 18 years or over.

An interest to study and learn about Food Service and ideally employed within a food service situation.

Course content

The City & Guilds NVQ level 1 in Food & Drink Service consists of 6 units which include customer care, preparation of the tables and room, service of food and beverages (all taught and assessed in the Cassio training restaurant.

Related theory is also delivered.

Additionality

When will I receive my results?

Results will be forwarded on as soon as they are received at the college. Please note that certificates, where awarded, can take up to 4 months to be received at the college before forwarding on to learners.

Delivery

Attendance choice of Tuesday or Thursday. 6 hrs per week for 34 weeks during restaurant operation.

Assessment

The NVQ is competancy based, students being assessed throughout the course. Students will be expected to complete a portfolio to include under pinning knowledge.

Payment options: UK/EU Fee : £686.00 Overseas Fee : £1,513.00 Part-time enrolments are subject to an additional annual registration fee of £10 payable once only per academic year (exemptions may apply).
