NVQ Level 1 Food And Drink Service

The course is suitable and appropriate for the absolute beginner with an interest in food service as well as those working within a sector of the Hospitality & Catering Industry.

The course will develop knwoledge and the skills necessary to work efficiently and effectively within the food and beverage area.

Students must be 18 years or over.

An interest to study and learn about Food Service and ideally employed within a food service situation.

The City & Guilds NVQ level 1 in Food & Drink Service consists of 6 units which include customer care, preparation of the tables and room, service of food and beverages (all taught and assessed in the Cassio training restaurant.

Related theory is also delivered.

When will I receive my results?

Results will be forwarded on as soon as they are received at the college. Please note that certificates, where awarded, can take up to 4 months to be received at the college before forwarding on to learners.

Attendance choice of Tuesday or Thursday. 6 hrs per week for 34 weeks during restaurant operation.

The NVQ is competancy based, students being assessed throughout the course. Students will be expected to complete a portfolio to include under pinning knowledge.
