After this course, you'll be able to organise practically anything and everything from your desktop, making you an attractive proposition for any employer.
On passing your final exam, you'll qualify for a Pitman Training Certificate.
You'll need to invest approximately 20 hours of study time at the Pitman Training centre to complete the 14 lessons that make up this course.

  • Lesson 1: Starting Outlook, Overview - Desktop Information Manager, The Outlook 2000 opening screen.
  • Lesson 2: Using the Office Assistant, hiding the Office Assistant, finding out what is on screen, getting help without the Office Assistant.
  • Lesson 3: Microsoft Outlook and Messaging Systems, Inbox Information Viewer window, Standard and Advanced toolbars, Folder List, Column Buttons.
  • Lesson 4: Creating a new message, addressing a new message, applying enhancements, adding a file attachment, adding a signature, spell checking your message, sending a message.
  • Lesson 5: Reading mail messages, forwarding a message, opening an attached file, finding a message, setting message flags.
  • Lesson 6: Displaying the Address Book, displaying different Address Lists, finding names in an Address List.
  • Lesson 7: Creating a new Contact, editing a Contact, adding a second Contact from the same organisation, deleting a Contact, tracking activities with Contacts, sending a vCard, sorting Contacts, manually recording an activity in a journal.
