ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
This course is not for computer web design novices. It is expected that candidates would have completed a level one web design course, have good overall computer skills with a minimum experience in using office based software or currently be working within this environment at a junior level and be seeking certification or updating to the most recent software from Adobe (CS4).
All potential candidates will be asked to sit a short IT skills and literacy diagnostic assessment.

Web Communication using **Adobe Dreamweaver CS4**
Setting project requirements; planning site design & page layout (flowcharts, storyboards & sitemaps); Understanding the Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 interface; adding content (images, hyperlinks, rich media, navigation elements); organising and modifying content; evaluating and maintaining a site.
Rich Media Communications using **Adobe Flash CS4**
Setting project requirements; identifying rich media design elements; understanding the Adobe Flash CS4 interface; building rich media elements; evaluating rich media elements (technical and user testing).
Visual Communications Using **Adobe Photoshop CS4**
Setting project requirements (identifying purpose and target audience); identifying design elements when preparing images; understanding the Adobe Photoshop CS4 interface; manipulating images; evaluating digital images; preparing images for use in web, print or video.
PROGRESSION/CAREERS OPPORTUNITIES
Progression from this course would be to the level three web design course or onto the CIW (Certified Internet Web proffesional) program. Your tutor will be able to provide full details.
