No formal qualifications are necessary but you are expected to have a strong interest/experience in catering and want to work in the catering industry.Before starting the level 2 food and preparation another course will take place as an introduction. Students will need to be able to read, write and understand English at an intermediate level. You must be able to attend all classes.

15 hours substantial part-time

Additional info:
Learners do get an opportunity to take a number of additional courses eg Intermediate Food Safety.

Further study NVQ Level 3 Advanced Craft/Food preparation and Cooking or employment within the hospitality and catering industry.
