Is the course for me?
This course will give you the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to perform, manicure, pedicure, do facials, make up, eye treatments, cosmetic tanning and wax depilation.

What will I learn?
The course is a one year fast track which, involves practical skills in manicure and pedicure treatments, wax depilation treatments. Facials include skills in skin cleansing, facial massage, and prescribing skin care programmes for a variety of skin types. This has been a major qualification since 1962 and covers face massage and skin care, apply and instruct on make-up, provide lash and brow treatments, manicure and pedicure, wax depilation. The Beauty & Holistic Department offers a full Virtual Learning Environment for all students to access from home should they wish to do so. This will be an invaluable tool for all learners across the section to guide through course schemes, assessment tracking and discussion forum. Attendance for all sessions is a major requirement, failure to comply may affect your achievement!

How will I be assessed?
You will be continually assessed, covering anatomy and physiology as well as an employment assignment. You will also complete a Health and Safety exam/assignment.

What can I do after the course?
With a short conversion course you may progress onto the Level 3 beauty course which runs either part-time on a weekend or full-time during the week. Please ask Learner Services for an Application Form.
