About this course
You will conditionally be selected onto this programme through initial assessment and interview and satisfactory completion of NVQ Level II. Preferred candidates will require a minimum of three GCSEs at Grade D or above which must include Mathematics and English Language/Literature.

Is the course for me?
The programme is designed to enable you to interpret and follow 'complex instructions and also provides an insight in to a supervisory/management role. The apprentice is prepared for progression into senior management within an extremely diverse industry.
What will I learn?
You will complete a framework of study involving: *NVQ Level 3 - (WBR) Work Based Recorder Portfolio, *Advanced Construction Award (ACA - Technical Certificate) the ACA will focus on developing brickwork skills and its understanding. *Health and Safety - (CSCS) Construction Skills Certificate Scheme, Employment Rights and *Responsibilities (ERR), Key Skills - Application of Number and Communication Level 2 Industry, The course is very well structured and most certainly increases the knowlege and skills of all who pursue the programme!
How will I be assessed?
Assessment will be continuous throughout the programme and will consist of a combination of practical assessments carried out in the Training Workshop, theory will be carried out in a classroon environment. Work based evidence will also be required to complete the framework. This will take the form of photographic evidence and a collection of various documents and witness testimonies from colleagues and line managers. The City & Guilds Advanced external examination is paper based .
What can I do after the course?
Progression routes are diverse. Further college based programmes are available for example, National Award, National Certificate and Higher National Certificate. These programmes focus strongly on Construction and are quite broad based and lead to various careers within the Industry for example Site Management, Surveying, Self-Employment, Lecturing, increasing your potential earnings.
