Course content:
This short course in Business Finance will evaluate the learners' ability to apply, calculate and use numerical skills within a business context.
Areas covered at Level 1 include:
+ applying numerical skills to business transactions
+ preparing and interpreting business information
+ applying numeracy skills to financial activities such as sales tax and trade discount.

Course Structure:
The course consists of a mixture of lectures, practical and group work.

Course resources:
All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.

Assessment:
Continuous assessment by tutor. End of course examination

When information is available you will notice 2 different fees stated for this course. The fee you pay is dependent on your status:
Fee 1: Standard fee;
Fee 2: Aged 60+ years fee
Students in receipt of an income-based benefit pay £20 per course per term.
You will need to bring proof of age and any benefits when you enrol.
You DO NOT have to pay a college registration fee for these courses, but you may have to pay for additional course materials.Materials costs:
Students provide folders and paper for coursework. It is also advised that students purchase the recommended text book.
