Introduction
This course is intended for network administrators and technicians, new to Cisco products and services, which are responsible for implementing and managing small and medium business networks. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Part 1 is the first part of a Level 2 course. It is designed to provide you with the knowledge, understanding, and skills needed to configure a LAN/WAN using Cisco equipment. It should be considered as preparation for taking the CCNA examination. Further study and practical experience will be necessary if you wish to gain the industry standard CCNA certification

Description
Student will study networking basics including network terminology and protocols, local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), open system interconnection (OSI) models, cabling, cabling tools, routers, router programming, Ethernet, internet protocol (IP) addressing, and network standards. You will also study routers and routing basics, including initial router configuration, Cisco IOS software management, routing protocol configuration, TCP/IP and access control lists (ACLs). You will learn to configure a router, manage Cisco IOS software, configure routing protocols, and create access lists controlling access to the router.

60 hours over 12 weeks

Progression
