Course Details
This award is designed for those who wish to support the learning of those with literacy, numeracy or ESOL needs, typically in a volunteer capacity. It is intended to introduce candidates to the sector and the relevant issues and legislation that have influenced the adult literacy, numeracy and ESOL arena. It also addresses different aspects of the support role and looks at some of the main knowledge, skills and understanding needed to work effectively at this level. Finally it introduces the ability to specialise and details the content that must be included when creating qualifications with a literacy, numeracy or ESOL focus. ESOL units to be introduced at a later date.
