About this course

The recommended entry requirements are 4 GCSE†s at grade C or above including Maths, English and Science. You will also be required to sit initial assessments tests and attend an interview.

Is this course for you
If you are an absolute beginner or wish to gain a more formal level of knowledge you†ll start your training in electrical installation here. You must have a good general education at Level 2 and be reasonable fit and capable of accepting a challenge. As well as fundamentals like health and safety and the principles of Electrotechnology, you†ll learn the basics of electrical installation which forms the core knowledge for employment in the electrical contracting industry.

What will you study

How will you be assessed
Assessment is carried out continuously throughout the programme and each of the two theory units will be assessed by externally set multiple choice exams. You will be expected to build a portfolio of evidence of your work and you will need to show good compliance to Health and Safety throughout the course.
