About this course

You will be educated to at least level 3 (A-level equivalent) but preferably have achieved the CMI Certificate in Management and have 2-3 years experience as a line manager with some project management experience or the opportunity to become involved in workplace projects. Applicants who do not fulfill the entry requirements may be asked to complete an initial assessment at interview.

The Chartered Management Institute†s Diploma in Project Management is designed to meet the needs of managers wishing to extend their skills and knowledge of project and programme management disciplines.

In the context of personal development, the Diploma provides a foundation for continuing professional and personal development in project management. Successful completion of the Diploma will equip you with:

The course runs on two evenings per week for eighteen weeks. Assessment:
Course assessment is through a number of externally assessed, work-based assignments which are marked to the high standards of the Chartered Management Institute, and include a project submission.

After the course:
On successful completion of the Diploma, you can progress to the 10 week Prince 2 Practitioners programme. Alternatively, you may wish to follow a more general management route with either the CMI Level 5 Management and Leadership qualification or Level 7 Strategic Management and Leadership qualification, depending upon your qualifications.
